Georgian Bay, the newest wine region in Ontario (Canada), offers a unique combination of natural beauty and award winning wine. Discover both on this idyllic guided tour.
Your group will be small and personal, two to six people plus your knowledgeable guide. The tour begins with a stunning low-intermediate 1.5 hour hike highlighting sweeping vistas from atop the Old Baldy cliff in the Beaver Valley.
Your physical effort will then be rewarded with a winery tour complete with wine-tasting at Southern Georgian Bay's pioneering winery, Coffin Ridge Vineyards. We are proud to introduce Georgian Bay wine to palates from novice to connoisseur on this fun, casual excursion.
On the way to Old Baldy, we will stop at the quaint gourmet Kimberley General Store for those wishing to purchase a snack or refreshment for the hike. A delectable Coffin Ridge tasting platter suitable as a light lunch is included in the price of the trip.
On the way back, we will stop at a second emporium, the Ravenna Country Market, well-known in the area for local culinary delights and the tastiest home-made soups around.
We will aim to depart by 10am, returning 3pm. The tour takes place rain or shine. In case of rain, a visit to quality Georgian Hills Vineyards will be substituted for the Old Baldy hike. Minimum two people per trip.
The tour is ideal for guests of fabulous Blue Mountain Resorts.
